If it is possible for you to have a doggy door, then it's much better, so that you don’t have to rush and open the door for him. He alone can go outside of the house through his doggy door. Show him how to use his doggy door so that once he learns he can do it on his own.
Having a doggy door is an advantage especially if you need to leave your dog in the house for awhile. But just make sure that you won't let your dog stay for a long time inside the house, because it's not very good. If in case he does something wrong, you can give him a punishment to show that he had made a mistake. Never attempt to spank your dog because in the end he will learn to fight back.
Have a schedule like taking your dog outside early in the morning and before you go to sleep at night. During the day, you have to observe your dog's behavior.
When you train your dog, you should spend enough time with him so that you can observe him closely. Anxiety is usually what your pet will feel when you start training your dog. But the experience can be rewarding once he learns to do it on his own. You and your dog can make lasting memories together, so make the most out of your time.
Training your dog personally is a good experience. You can have a special bond with your dog, and in the end, you will be proud that you were able to do it on your own.
